There has been much fanfare in the blogosphere lately about Google’s new PowerPoint killer, code named “Presently”. The word on the street was that the service could go live any day.
Well I’m here to tell you it’s alive, available, and doing quite well. After testing a number of URLs that I thought might be hiding the bugger, I logged into my Google Docs account and started poking around. Lo and behold, under “New >” there was the option of “Presentation”. So I did the natural thing and created a presentation for your viewing pleasure. I’m going to have to spend some more time playing with this but it’s looking pretty good so far.
And for those of you wondering if Presently offers slick transitions…the answer is “no”…at least not presently.
